Description

Architectural masterpiece in neo-Flemish Renaissance style, built in 1898 for Antwerp’s chief harbour master. Behind its imposing façade lies a world of luxury and refinement: soaring ceilings (+4m), Hungarian point parquet flooring, a striking entrance hall with mosaic flooring, wrought iron staircase and lift.

The luxuriously renovated ground floor houses a stylish private apartment featuring a fully equipped Bulthaup b3 kitchen (Gaggenau, Bora, Miele) and a sun-drenched terrace. The souterrain is now also part of the private quarters, offering several rooms, a bathroom with XL walk-in shower, generous ceiling height and beautiful vaulted architecture.

The current boutique hotel comprises five high-end suites, designed by FEEK, with further potential for expansion. Each suite exudes style, charm and maximum comfort, yet retains a unique personality thanks to subtly different layouts.
On the first floor: one large and one smaller suite, plus a private section with three bedrooms and a bathroom.
On the second floor: third suite with shower, bath and lounge. Behind it, a vibrant pink guest kitchen (accessible by lift) and a fourth suite with kitchen and bathroom (added in 2022).
On the third floor: a stunning master suite under the rafters with bath, shower, and — cherry on top — a delightful infrared sauna. Solar panels are installed.

This high-end luxury residence offers endless potential on the historic Oudeleeuwenrui, surrounded by old warehouses, charming façades and a beautiful tree-lined street. Steps from the MAS, the Scheldt River, and the historic city centre. Perfect for combining living and working, launching an exclusive B&B, or reviving a restaurant concept.

A rare opportunity for visionaries seeking character, class, and endless possibilities in the historic heart of the city.

From our very first visit, we were sold. It was a unique property with a creative history and a warm soul, perfectly suited for combining living and working.
The owners, Sophie and Frederik,

owner speaks out

Fifteen years ago, we were looking for a new location for our furniture brand FEEK, and we found it in the vibrant neighborhood around Oudeleeuwenrui. There, we created a successful combination of showroom and B&B — an inspiring place where visitors could stay among my own furniture designs. This location was only two streets away from Oudeleeuwenrui and grew alongside the success of our brand. We were already familiar with this property through our contacts in the furniture world, where it had been used as a showroom for furniture agencies. From our very first visit, we were sold. It was a unique property with a creative history and a warm soul, perfectly suited for combining living and working. It was a perfect fit with our lifestyle. For the renovation, we collaborated with the Antwerp-based architectural firm Sculp-it, known for their timeless designs. They created a harmony between the industrial charm of the building and our desire for contemporary comfort. The spaces are open, light, and flexible, with a strong focus on materiality. For fifteen years, we lived, worked, and thrived here. The generous volumes, abundant natural light, and the creative energy of the space were constantly inspiring. This was where our children grew up, where collections were created, and where FEEK evolved into an innovative brand. The location completes the picture: nestled between the Scheldt River, the Eilandje district, and the MAS, you’re in the heart of historic Antwerp. Since the opening of MAS, the neighborhood has blossomed. Everything is within walking distance – culture, restaurants, design, and the port. This district has a soul, and this property has been an integral part of it for all these years. Today, it’s time for new horizons, but we hold this house and everything it has meant for us close to our hearts. We hope the next owners will have as special a time here as we did.
