Fantastic design house on the Eilandje in the Montevideo district

One street away from the Scheldt quays, quick access to Antwerp North and the Netherlands, close to the marina, the MAS and numerous restaurants.

Created by architect Hansi Ombregt of P8 architects as his own home for his family.

The house is characterised by lots of light, space and openness. The architectural added value is expressed in the uniform use of white steel for the garage door and stairs, cast concrete for the floors, large aluminium windows with unique placement in the front façade and a continuous feel for the city.

Layout: American carport with space for two cars, adjoining the cosy courtyard garden, adjacent entrance door with hall, toilet and stairs to the first floor. The first and second floors include an open kitchen with bar, a spacious dining room with mezzanine connecting to the living room above. The third floor houses a large playroom, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a laundry area. The next floor is the parents' area with a spacious bedroom with fitted wardrobes, a bathroom and separate toilet. Finally, a floor with an extra lounge/office with two terraces overlooking "Eilandje".

In addition, the house has natural gas underfloor heating, double glazing, insulated walls and an insulated roof. In addition, an alarm system as well.
