Description

Central in historic city centre, between MAS and the South, full of cafés, lunch spots and always full of life, almost in the Cathedral garden. Groenplaats, Lange Koepoortstraat, Eiermarkt, Schoenmarkt and Melkmarkt will soon get a facelift with more greenery. It will be fantastic - and it's already so blissful there.

This well-maintained app in a small, late-classicist building from the first quarter of the 19th century lets you travel back to the Paris of yesteryear. Original parquet floors, elegant millwork, high ceilings and French doors...

The charm may be 19th-century, the comfort is all contemporary. Very spacious bdk with mosaic bath - soothing bathing in southern hammam spheres. The 2 bedrooms are generously sized and there is still room for a 2nd bdk. Also handy is the desk on the landing. Via a bookcase staircase (designed by @atelierbens), an extra hobby room was cleverly created at the top of the mezzanine.

In the large, airy living space, you can breathe in peace and quiet after a busy working day. The cosy kitchen is a great place to cook, everything à l'aise ici. Just open the large windows to the terrace and your kkn has an extra living space. You won't notice much of the hustle and bustle of the city in the bedrooms and kkn, which are super quiet at the back.

Surprisingly large rooms and plenty of daylight flowing in, right in the historical city centre: a dream for many! Ideal place for city-lovers in need of sufficient space to move around and privacy (cohousing, students, etc.) or as an investment to rent out.

Een stukje Montmartre op de Melkmarkt
A small-scale building, with low fixed costs and if possible in the historic city centre
The owners,

owner speaks out

We bought this app in 2008. Initially, we always rented it out and in recent years our son has lived there. When we started looking for an app to buy and rent out, it was important to us that it be a small-scale building, with low fixed costs, if possible in the historic city centre. But that's certainly not the only thing that attracted us so much to this property.

What made us fall like a log for this place? Without a doubt the atmosphere of Montmartre that the app exudes, that typical charm of the 19th century with elegant millwork, warm parquet floors and high ceilings. When we also saw the terrace and noticed how generous the daylight is here, we were completely won over. You could call it a real coupe de foudre, yes.
