‘The large attic was insulated, but the original wooden beams were left exposed – and that’s pretty much the common thread running through the whole house. Where necessary, certain rooms were renovated, whilst at the same time we preserved as many original features as possible out of respect for the history of this fantastic property. It is truly special to be part of the history of such a valuable piece of Tienen’s architectural heritage.
The garden, too, is an unimaginable luxury, right in the heart of the city. We’ve spent hours enjoying the various nooks we’ve created. The terrace off the kitchen, the covered seating area or the maze of hedges with the wisteria against the back wall – in this lush garden, you’ll always find a spot to relax.’
