Description

Ultimate sixties villa by Flemish architect Marc Dessauvage

In revived nature on the Kalmthout/Kapellen forest border on the military domain with a rich arsenal of beautiful deciduous trees, lovely forest paths and picturesque lanes.

A house that fits in perfectly with its surroundings. Sober in its simplicity and shaped from the volume. A simple and still current floor plan.

A glvl with dark brown waxed lava stones, a sloping wooden loft, a cosy sitting area, a fireplace, a handsome black metal staircase, a kkn overlooking the garden. Upstairs three (originally four) bedrooms and a bdk.

Renovation/refurbishment needed. Boiler from 2013.

The garden shows nice curves and has beautiful trees. You will always find a ray of sunshine somewhere.

Beautifully preserved and absolutely unique property!

Wikipedia,

owner speaks out

Marc Dessauvage was a Flemish architect. During his short architectural career of 20 years, he created a remarkable oeuvre of mainly religious architecture with which he made an important contribution to modern architecture in Flanders.

He also built private houses, with on a smaller scale the same architectural features that also characterise his house churches.

Dessauvage uses 'natural' materials such as brick, exposed concrete and wooden joinery.
