The owners,

owner speaks out

The moment we first stepped into this house, we were in love. The mosaic floor, the graceful staircase, and the high ceilings with intricate mouldings—it instantly felt like home. The peace and greenery of the garden are incredibly rare in the heart of the city, and we enjoyed that every single day. We lived here with so much joy; this place is truly special. After dinner, we often walked through the charming streets to the ice cream shop on Dageraadplaats—a little tradition we’ll always cherish. In spring, we’d eagerly await the blooming of the magnolia tree in the garden. For the children and their friends, it felt like a fairytale castle: they could wander endlessly through the rooms and the cellar—this is the kind of house that sparks imagination. Family gatherings here were a wonderful mix of liveliness and intimacy. Everyone found their own space, whether upstairs, in the cellar, in the garden, or on the covered terrace. The kitchen, bathed in natural light, was the beating heart of our home—the start and end of each day. Authentic details are everywhere, giving the house a unique soul. And when you look outside, it sometimes feels like you're in a quiet corner of London. The garden has been our peaceful retreat, where birds sing all day long—a little park in the middle of the city, where we could always truly unwind.
